We have answered the most frequently asked questions. If you can’t find the answer here, please contact us.
No. The Department of Public Health requires a license to clean and dispose of bio waste. Further, biohazardous waste cannot be thrown away like normal household trash. It needs to be taken to a medical waste facility. Hazards such as sewage water from a residential flood or mold should never be cleaned by someone other than a professional. If you have ever sold a house or bought one, there is always a question on the disclosures covering this. The answer everyone wants to see or hear is a professional remediated the damage. You can be on the hook for secondary damages or liable if the question is not answered truthfully. Veteran Decon possesses the necessary licenses and certifications to remediate the problem.
Veteran Decon provides service for many different needs. The process can vary depending on the service requested. Veteran Decon will respond to the location after being called. The trained technician will meet with the client to build a rapport and discuss the services needed. The technician will assess the scene, determine the best approach to remediation and relay this to the client before any work is started. Once a decision has been made, the technician will then barrier the site to prevent cross contamination and will begin to remediate the area in accordance with OSHA and IICRC standards. Once the work is complete, the technician will then check the area to assure it is free of any biohazard, bodily fluids, gross filth etc. The technician will then clean up and follow up with the client make sure they are satisfied with the service. If the client is unhappy, Veteran Decon will do what it takes to satisfy the client.
This is a very hard question to answer and will almost always require an in-person inspection to provide a cost. It is hard to tell through photos or a conversation because your definition of filthy may be clean to me and vice versa. Being that every job is different and requires different worksite equipment, Hazmat equipment, or none of it at all, it is hard to provide a one size fits all cost approach without physically seeing the area. If you have any questions about cost, contact us at our number and we could provide you with a ballpark figure over the phone. Again, for us to provide a true estimate, we would need to respond in person. We are available 24/7. What I can say is that we are not a franchise. Meaning we have no overhead or hard costs being forced on us like those entities. Therefore, our services will likely be cheaper because there is no overhead. If you have insurance, they will cover the cost for most of the services we offer. This means you won’t be on the hook for anything other than the deductible.
Insurance covers the cost to a majority of the services Veteran Decon offers. Veteran Decon will work with your insurance company to cover the cost of the remediation.
Just call us. We will respond 24/7 to provide you with our services. We will typically respond to the location within 1-2 hours depending on traffic of course.
The owner of the company, Alfred Villanueva, will be the one to answer the phone. We are available 24/7. You will be asked a few questions to gather some information and a technician will be sent to the location to provide services after the phone call.
We work with anyone who needs our services. We do not cater to one specific client and will go wherever we are needed.
Yes! Veteran Decon has the necessary licenses/certifications through the Department of Public Health and the IICRC (Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification) to remediate the scene. Furthermore, Veteran Decon is also insured.
The owner, Alfred Villanueva, is no stranger to this field. He is a US Army combat veteran and a Law Enforcement Veteran who has been surrounded by traumatic events throughout his career. Alfred has been selfless his entire career by providing others a service while risking his own life in the process. Through his experiences, he can understand what the client is going through because he has been there himself many times. The same pride Alfred has taken in his previous duties, he applies to this company in the sense of providing service to his clients.
Honor, integrity and duty are a few of the values Veteran Decon possesses. We can assure you the work will be done in accordance with OSHA standards and to the satisfaction of the client. Alfred is the sole owner of Veteran Decon. The company is not a franchise and there is no overhead. You will always get the best price because of this. Alfred does this because he genuinely cares about people. Additionally, the company donates a portion of bill to school programs providing children with clothes/food, breast cancer awareness, Law Enforcement Widows and Orphan Funds, veteran funds and victim advocates.
In terms of response time, we can be there within one to two hours depending on location and traffic at the time. In terms of job completion, this is hard to answer without a physical inspection of the job, and whether complexities or complication arise after starting the job. If it’s something simple like biological cleanup where it has not penetrated any porous materials, this can take a matter of hours. Something like a hoarder cleanup can take a few days to a few weeks depending on the nature of the job. The easy answer, it all depends. Give us a call and we will be glad to assist you. We are available 24/7 and will be happy to work around your schedule.
